I recently stayed at this hotel and had an overall excellent experience. The rooms were exquisite, combining elegance with generous space, which made for a very comfortable stay. However, I did find it unusual that there was no top sheet on the bed. The room amenities were fantastic, adding to the luxurious feel. Upon check-in, the front desk was very helpful in ensuring our two rooms were on the same floor. However, one room key didn't work, requiring me to lug our suitcases back and forth to get it fixed. I noticed this issue happened to another guest shortly after. During check-out, the front desk kindly stored our suitcases so we could enjoy brunch. Unfortunately, there was another hiccup with the valet service, as they forgot to provide the customer part of the ticket, leading to a long ordeal before we could retrieve our car. Additionally, we were charged twice for overnight parking. The pool area looked inviting, although I didn't have the chance to enjoy it during my visit. I do wish there had been a jacuzzi available. Dining at the hotel was a highlight, especially enjoying both dinner and brunch. I had dinner reservations for a party of eight. Unfortunately, the service during dinner was disappointing. Our waitress was rarely available, and her unfriendly demeanor suggested that the included tip might have impacted her service quality. This stay was particularly special as we were celebrating my daughter's 25th birthday, marking her recent college graduation and her journey into independence. While hanging out by the fire pits, my purse went missing, which was a distressing experience. Despite these hiccups, the drinks were delicious, and the food was generally satisfying. Brunch service was impeccable, likely due to our smaller party of four, where the tip was not pre-included. Additionally, we thoroughly enjoyed the serene and beautifully designed 5th-floor lounge for coffee, where the service was exemplary. Overall, while there were a couple of setbacks, the hotel's charm and amenities made our stay memorable.

I stayed at the Aster for a work trip. I'm glad to have discovered this gem. The rooms are large and well appointed, especially for the price. Staff was friendly. While I didn't get to dine in the restaurant, bar or lounge, the in-room dining was fantastic. I will return to this hotel in the future.

My bf surprised me with a 2 night stay in the most adorable suite for Valentines Day. The suite had a pink couch!!!! The bed and pillows were amazingly comfortable. The staff were all so friendly. The hotel was super cool and felt safe. We enjoyed the rooftop bar area very briefly as it was windy and a tad cold. We did do brunch the first day & enjoyed the drinks and food was delicious too. Overall, fabulous stay.

If you're looking for a staycation or a boutique hotel in Hollywood, The Aster offers an exclusive luxury experience that I think guests appreciate. The members' lounge has a great vibe, plenty of seating, coffee, and food. At night, there are several activations for members to join. There's a fitness center and a private pilates studio. Plus, the rooftop restaurant is lovely with delicious cuisine (highly recommend having one of their specialty lemonades).

I stayed at the Aster on a work trip recently, and it exceeded expectations. The rooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable, and employees had excellent customer service. I didn't have time to use the gym or pool but these looked very nice. I really enjoyed the coffee shop on site, as well as a yoga class offered to hotel guests/members. Param, at the front desk, was so friendly and helpful with questions I had on my last day. He was able to help store my luggage after check-out so I could do a short hike, then come back for a quick shower before heading to the airport.

The highlight of my stay was because of Faith who works at the front desk. She greeted us with so much kindness and helpfulness and made us feel so welcome. I would absolutely come back and stay at this hotel just to be greeted by her. She is truly such a professional, warm hearted and very clearly takes her job seriously. She truly made our stay so special and accommodating! I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re in LA, was truly a great experience because of her!

We stayed in the Grand Suite for one night in December 2025. If I could I would rate the hotel a 4.3 or 4.4. Lovely room that was very spacious but it wasn't a "Luxury" experience like we have encountered elsewhere. One reason could be because it is our understanding that property is a bit unusual in that is only partially a hotel. Walking down the halls we noticed most of the rooms were marked "Private." We talked with some of the Members of the Aster that explained that the property is set up to also accommodate business owners for meetings and other activities. So maybe running a hotel isn't the main focus. We were there in the middle of the week and the room was very quiet. The only noises were really just in the hallway outside the room. They did supply earplugs (that we didn't need) - which could be an indication that the rooms are louder on the weekend. What we liked: The room and the design The rooftop bar Everyone we talked with (but to be fair that was only the valet, reception, and bartender) The location was great, just far enough from the main section of Hollywood Blvd (If you need to go there for some reason). Nice common areas What we didn't like (one might actually be dangerous): The In-Room amenities were probably the worst we have seen at a "luxury" hotel. No water (not even for the coffee maker). One robe? The room had a Nespresso machine but only 3 pods (1 flavor, 1 regular, and 1 decaf). The shower floor was tiled with glazed 5 inch tiles and no bath mat was provided (it was probably the slipperiest shower I have ever taken). The private balcony was nice, but there was almost no view and no privacy from the people living directly across the ally.

We had a lovely stay and felt so comfortable at the Aster. This beautiful hotel is in a perfect location with amazing views from the rooftop. Each of the staff we encountered were kind, helpful and very accommodating. We're looking forward to coming back another time.
